This subject introduces students to the various concepts and principles of operations management. The subject will focus on the application of operation tools used in manufacturing and service industries. It will also cover the nature of operations, product development, process design and analysis, quality improvement tools, capacity planning, operations scheduling, facility location and layout planning. Students will be instructed in the use of tools to identify inefficiency and develop effectiveness in business operations.
