Provides an overview of supply chain management, looking at the evolution of the supply chain from traditional models to include the use of electronic and physical integration of supply chain participants.

Topics covered include the integration of organisations within the supply chain, the analysis of participants and their performance, the use of supply chain tools to optimise relationships within the supply chain, and the use of technology as an integrating tool.

It also provides a firm foundation of understanding from which to proceed with more advanced studies.
